Suzuki Piano studies is a wonderful, holistic way to start young children in music lessons as young as four. Working on the mother tongue approach, children learn the language of music first through aural and physical development and reading is introduced later when they are developmentally ready.

How to Begin Suzuki Piano Studies at Nifty Notes
Parents should first enquire re: space and scheduling as it is a very high-demand program.
Secondly, parents should thoroughly familiarize themselves with the method:

Next, parents should arrange an interview with Heather and plan to bring their child as well. This interview process is important to ensure we are all a good fit to work together.
If we all decide to move ahead with lessons, parents need to register through the Edmonton Suzuki Piano School, not Nifty Notes directly. This offers significant benefits such as participation in recitals, workshops, group classes and events through ESPS. Students cannot study Suzuki piano at Nifty Notes without registering through ESPS.
Once your registration has been received, parents are required to take a parent introduction course offered through ESPS twice a year in spring and fall. The first 2-4 lessons will also be reserved for the parent and teacher only.
